I don't know what Patchouli is, but the Rose Patchouli candle smells heavenly. Even just leaving the candle setting on a shelf I can get a sniff of it every now and then. I really love how it smells. The candle itself comes in a small rubber container. It is pointed so you can use it as a pouring spout after the wax has melted some. My partner and I did find that if you pour it out as soon as you blow out the flame it can be uncomfortable warm, but not for long. As far as rubbing it in, it rubs in very smoothly and lasts a long while. It also leaves you feeling very silky smooth and I didn't notice that it caused any acne.

I have to say the smell of this candle is next to godliness and soothes the senses. The wax (once melted) can be uncomfortable if poured directly to sensitive skin but to avoid that, pour some in your hand which is more resilient to the heat and it should be cool enough to rub in the skin. This candle is truly amazing and leaves the skin feeling soft and smelling good.
