This has three increasing strengths of straight-up vibration. They *do* get stronger, but be aware that they also get buzzier and a bit louder. I'm not even a straight-up vibration fan, and this worked well for me.
Cal Ex says this has an easy push-button setup, and given the fact that I have arthritis and fine motor issues and *I* didn't have a major problem either changing functions or turning it off I tend to agree with them. (If that's an issue for you, I suggest gripping the actual vibe with one hand and using the other to press the button, though. It's *doable* at least for me one-handed, but that method was a bit easier.)
Due to the size and design, this works nicely as a clit vibe, for other external stimulation (nipples, perineum, etc.) or laid between your labia (if that's applicable anatomy-wise) because the vibe's likely to hit both your clit and your vaginal opening. You probably *could* use this internally for vaginal purposes, but it doesn't have the kind of base required for safe anal insertion.
If you have chronic pain, this may work as either a pinpoint vibe for temples/etc. or if you can figure out a hands-free setup for whatever else hurts. (I tried leaning back into a padded chair with it between my shoulder blades and that worked fine although the chair absorbed some of the vibe strength, for instance, but it was NOT comfortable trying to *hold* it in place over my sore hip.)
The one big warning I do have: the battery compartment cap on this is *really* touchy (or at least mine is). In other words, if you jar it *at all*, it's likely to turn off unexpectedly, but mine's never *stayed* off once I readjusted it. As a result, I wouldn't consider this even splashproof, much less actually *waterproof*, and would advise using toy wipes to clean it to minimize the chances of water or cleaner corroding the inside.
It's ABS with a metallic coating, so it's pretty body-safe and also pretty compatible with whatever lube sounds like a good idea that day, although water-based is generally the *preferred* option.
